AutoVent I -
Greenhouse Environment Controller (Suits
most types of vented houses)
Tirelessly
operates the greenhouse vents to maintain the optimum temperature
for your crop!
The AutoVent I controller
monitors temperature and operates the roof vents (single or
twin) and/or the side curtains to try to maintain the set point
temperature.
For
gull-wing style roof vents a simple wind sensor may be used to close the windward vent if
the wind exceeds a preset limit (approx 40 KPH).
Alternatively, for saw
tooth houses a rotary wind speed sensor may be used to first close
the exposed end vent and then at higher wind speeds, close the rest
of the roof vents (and side vents if fitted)
Similarly, a rain sensor may be used to close either one or both
roof vents (selectable by user). This function may be disabled
Houses with side vents
only, may use the rotary wind speed sensor to close the vents when
wind speeds become excessive. The wind speed at which this
happens may be set by the grower
A simple "purging
sequence" may be enabled to help keep humidity down during cold
weather when the vents are closed. When enabled, the vents
will nudge open briefly every 15 minutes to allow the humid air to
escape.
OPTIONS:-
1) Heater
control. A version of the Autovent 1 is now available with
an aditional output providing ON/OFF heater control
2) RH control.
A version of the Autovent 1 is available that measures and controls
RH in addition to temperature. This includes adjustment of
heating and vent position to correct humidity and also purging
cycles in cold weather if the RH becomes excessive.
3) Professional style
rotary wind speed and direction sensors are available in place
of the economy switched sensor.
As you can see from the picture, the controller provides full manual
override of vents keeping you in control at all times.
